Kudos to Starbucks India for recognising our planet’s need of the hour and changing customer preferences by introducing a dedicated plant-based food menu. This adds up to their existing lineup of coffee options that replaces dairy products with plant-based alternatives such as almond milk and soy milk. The new plant-based options include: i) Sausage Croissant Roll with spiced tomato sauce ii) Vegan Croissant Bun with tomatoes, sautéed vegetables, and chermoula iii) Vegan Hummus Kebab Wrap with green pea hummus and pickled carrots Earlier, Starbucks India did introduce some vegan and gluten-free options to the menu in collaboration with the renowned Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor, but it still lacked what health enthusiasts were looking for.
